Last summer at our old rental house I planted my first garden.  I was so proud of actually doing it and was anticipating tomatoes, onions, basil…and then we had to move, before anything had flourished (there were some little sprouts, though!)
Now, we live in an apartment with no yard of our own and I’ve been sad to think I can’t grow a garden of veges here…but there is good news!  A great yoga studio i go to is doing a community garden not too far from where I live.  We have a meeting this Saturday and I’m so excited to see how this goes!   If nothing else, I could try something like this picture- what a great idea!

About:

I long for beauty, love, joy, peace, justice. Sometimes I fill my life so full that I cannot finish everything I start. My passion for life and yearning for more, more, more, can be summed up in this quote by *C.S.Lewis: “You have never had it. All the things that have ever deeply possessed your soul have been hints of it-tantalizing glimpses, promises never quite fulfilled, echoes that died away just as they caught your ear. But if it should really become manifest-if there ever came an echo that did not die away but swelled into the sound itself-you would know it. Beyond all possibility of doubt you would say, ‘here at last is the thing i was made for’. We cannot tell each other about it. It is the secret signature of each soul, the incommunicable and unappeasable want…”

I experience these tantalizing glimpses throughout my days and I believe they point to the true longing of my heart and the hearts of many. Here, I intend to share these glimpses, these shimmers of beauty, hope and love. I also hope to move those who read this to seek justice in our world. I have been given so much…I want to use it for the good of others.

Many of the photos I post will be mine unless otherwise noted. I will always reference if they're not mine.
